Multi-Purpose Room Rental Terms & Conditions
1. Applications should be made (14) working days before requested use date. A $50.00 deposit will be required upon application to use the facility. Deposit will be returned approximately (2) weeks after rental if buildings/grounds are left clean and orderly. Applications submitted the week of proposed event must pay deposit and full rental balance.
2. Balance of rental fee is due no later than (7) working days before requested usage date. Person/organization failing to pay balance within the allotted time frame will forfeit their use of the facility and lose their $50.00 deposit.
3. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the premises. Rental permit will be revoked if alcoholic beverages are found on the premises and automatic forfeit of $50.00 deposit.
4. Charcoal grills are not allowed on the premises. Gas grills are allowed but can only be staged in the back parking lot area, not on the side of the building. Rental permit will be revoked if charcoal grill/disposals are found on the premises and automatic forfeit of $50.00 deposit.
5. For bounce houses, the gymnasium must be rented. Bounce houses are not allowed in the multi-purpose rooms. Renter must use a bounce house company that has liability insurance, preferably one already on file with SRPD.
6. Person/organization is responsible for leaving building and grounds clean. The room should be left empty and free of all decorations, food, etc. Tape must be removed from walls and other areas. Rooms and kitchen must be swept by renter. Staff will determine if facility needs to be mopped and will discard trash. If building and grounds are left clean and orderly, the $50.00 deposit will be returned via check from the City of Statesville in approximately (2) weeks.
7. Decorations/items not allowed in rooms or premises: confetti, smoke/powder cannons, pinatas, skates/rollerblades, petting zoos, staging equipment, items hanging from ceiling. It is staff’s discretion to not authorize the use of other items that may not be listed.
8. The person/organization to which this permit has been issued shall be held liable for any and all costs associated with the repair and/or replacement of any and all property, equipment, premises, etc. removed or damaged during the persons/organization’s rental of the building/facility.
9. This facility permit will serve for the day and times listed on the permit. If your activity begins at 12-noon and you would like to get in early, you must adjust your times accordingly and make the proper payments (7) days in advance of the event. Staff is scheduled to work and will be available for the hours shown on the permit only.
10. The Director of Recreation and Parks or an assigned departmental representative shall have the authority to revoke this permit upon finding a violation of department rules and regulations or City Ordinance.
11. The person/organization will also be responsible for children/adults attending their proposed activity. The person/organization to which this permit has been issued shall be liable for any damages, loss or injury sustained by any person by reason of negligence on behalf of the person or group receiving this permit.
12. The person/organization to which this permit is issued will be responsible for enforcing the above rules.
Climbing Wall Terms & Conditions:
1. I understand that it is my responsibility to return a signed waiver for each climber before he/she is allowed to ascend the wall. I further understand that the waiver must be signed by a parent/legal guardian to be valid, and without a valid signature, the individual will not be allowed to participate in climbing activities.
2. I recognize it is my responsibility for safeguarding, proper care, and use of equipment to me. I will use it in accordance with the information and instruction supplied to me. I further agree to report any damage incurred while the equipment is in my care.
3. I understand it is my obligation to return all equipment after my climbing session.
4. I understand that I will be billed for equipment if it is returned in unsatisfactory condition, where that damage has occurred due to improper use. The charge may be assessed up to the total replacement cost of the equipment.
5. The $50 deposit is refundable and will be returned via check and mailed to the address on the contract approximately two weeks after the rental if all facilities are left clean and orderly and all equipment has been returned in good working order.
