General Pool Rules
- Everyone must be registered before entering the pool area regardless of intent to swim. Membership tags must be scanned, or a day pass must be purchased. The ability of pool staff to lookup forgotten tags is limited to twice per season. After that, entrance to the pool area will be denied until tags are produced. The Borough office can replace tags for a fee during regular business hours only.
- Patrons that appear to be visibly ill, have open sores, or similar infections will be refused admission to the pool area.
- The required ratio of swimmers to lifeguards will be strictly enforced. Once that ratio has been met, no one else will be permitted to enter the pool. The Borough is not responsible if season pass holders or Borough residents are refused admittance until the ratio has decreased. Pool hours may vary due to staffing availability.
- The pool may be closed under certain weather conditions until it is deemed safe to enter the water. The pool will also close when the temperature is 65 degrees or lower. No refunds will be issued if the pool closes for weather/ safety related reasons.
- All children 9 years of age and younger must ALWAYS be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Pool personnel are NOT responsible for personal items or supervision of minors in the pool area or park areas.
- Food and drink are limited to concession purchases and must be consumed in designated areas only.
- Anyone entering the pool must wear a swimsuit and suits must remain visible at all times. Street clothing may be worn in the concession area or within the park. Cut off shirts are not considered acceptable swimwear.
- Swim diapers are required for infants/ small children who are not potty trained.
- When a lifeguard is not on duty, no one is permitted to enter the pool.
- No squirt guns or other toys that may be viewed as weapons. Other prohibited toys within the pool are rafts, noodles, frisbees, or balls.
- No life vests, inner tubes, or inflatable supports are permitted on the slides or in the pool. USCG (United States Coast Guard) certified flotation vests are permitted for small children who cannot swim within the pool area only.
- Long hair must be tied back, braided, or worn under a bathing cap.
- Diving and jumping are NOT permitted off the end of the platform, located in the middle of the pool and dividing the shallow to deep end of the pool.
- Foul language is NOT permitted in the pool area and will not be tolerated. This is a family-oriented space and patrons must be respectful. After multiple attempts by pool staff or the pool manager to address the behavior, the person responsible will be asked to leave.
- Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted in the park or pool area.
- Pool patrons who are verbally or physically harassing lifeguards, pool staff, or other pool patrons will be asked to leave if determined to be a threat by the pool manager.
- Splashing, screaming, shoving, fighting, or other horseplay is not permitted in or around the pool. After multiple attempts to correct the behavior with no change, the pool manager will ask for the disruptive party to leave the property.
- During Adult Swim, children are not permitted in the pool even with an adult present. This includes sitting poolside with their legs in the pool.
- Children three years of age and younger may be in the pool during adult swim with adult supervision and within arm’s length of the adult.
- Anyone presenting a Nanny pass must be accompanied by a child under 10 years of age from the membership family to which the Nanny pass is associated.
Slide Rules
- Only one person at a time is permitted to go down the slides. Slide can only be used when given permission from the lifeguard on duty.
- A height requirement of 42”, along with the ability to swim without assistance is required for slide use.
- Lifeguards may test the ability of a child to swim the deep end of the pool if there is a doubt.
- Parents are not permitted to catch a child at the bottom of the slide.
- Slide area must be kept clear for safety of all patrons. Once you are done on the slide, you must swim away. Swimming is prohibited at the base of the slide.
- Slide patrons must slide either seated or on their backs. No running, diving, or standing is allowed in the slide area.
General Park and Amphitheater Rules
- Please do not park or drive on grass!
- The Borough Park and Amphitheater areas are open from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise designated due to events.
- Alcohol and smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, are prohibited in the park.
- Dogs are welcome at the park but must be kept on a leash. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals.
- Walkways and drives in the park must be kept clear of all obstructions.
- No person shall injure, mar, or damage any building, playground equipment, monument, bench, fence, bridge, tree, shrubs, flowers, fireplaces, or any other public property.
- No person shall place or deposit any garbage, glass, metal cans, paper, or miscellaneous waste in any park or playground areas except for in designated containers.
- Benches and other public seating may not be moved from their designated areas to different areas of the park.
- Electrical amplifying equipment is prohibited within the park, with the exception of designated equipment at the Amphitheater area for events.
Rules Violations
- An official incident report may be completed, and parents will be notified for those under 18.
- Pool privileges may be revoked for multiple instances of rule violations: first instance of multiple violations will be one week-suspension, second instance will be two-week suspension. Privileges may be revoked for the season if violations continue.
- Any patron in violation of rules may request an audience before Borough council to discuss the matter.
Pool Managers and Lifeguards are authorized to expel pool and park patrons for violating any of the above rules and regulations.
The Borough Police Department may be contacted to resolve any rule violations.
